Valkyrie Dynamics builds miniature radar seekers for drones.

The hardware operates in the field. We are now increasing the size of the core team.

We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer [Kyiv].

You own the physical product. The seeker must be resistant to launch, vibration and high acceleration, and it must stay light.

Each design must be manufacturable immediately.

What you will do:

Own the mechanical design of the seeker, from the enclosure to the airframe interface. The mass limit and the space limit are strict.
Design for shock, vibration and heat. The electronics must operate during the launch and during the flight.
Decrease the part count and the cost. Design for the machines and the processes that we have, and for volume manufacture.
Make a physical part from a CAD model in days. Use the 3D printers and the machine tools in the laboratory, then iterate from the field results.

You get a competitive base salary and possibly founding-level equity.
We pay all relocation costs if you move to our laboratory in Kyiv. You do not need to speak Ukrainian.
You move your hardware from the bench to a field test in days.
